SmileCorrect Aligners are an excellent way to straighten out your smile without the hassle and inconvenience of metal braces. If you have overcrowded teeth, gaps between your teeth, or a significant overbite, SmileCorrect Aligners can give you a more uniform and healthy smile. Using customized, removable, see-through aligners, you can enjoy a straighter smile without dietary restrictions or food constantly getting stuck in your teeth. When it’s time to eat, just remove your SmileCorrect Aligners and put them back in whenever you’re done. Over time, your bite will dramatically improve, and your smile will be straighter than ever. Best Candidates for Dental Exam
If your teeth are crooked, crowded, or misaligned, SmileCorrect aligners might be right for you. These clear removable aligners work extremely well for people with overbites, overcrowded teeth, or lots of gaps between teeth. Compared to other smile-correcting orthodontic treatments, SmileCorrect has several advantages:
See-through aligners make it hard for people to tell you’re wearing anything.
You can take your aligners out whenever you like, freeing you from dietary restrictions and making it easier to eat and clean your teeth.
SmileCorrect Aligners are made in the United States, which usually means they’re less expensive than other orthodontic treatments.
During your exam, we’ll go through your orthodontic options and answer any questions you may have to see if SmileCorrect is right for your smile.
What to Expect
To build your custom SmileCorrect Aligners, we’ll start by taking x-rays and impressions of your jaw and teeth. Once we receive your aligners, we’ll give you a call to schedule your fitting. Throughout the treatment, we’ll have you come in once every few weeks to monitor your progress. As your bite improves and your teeth straighten out, we’ll periodically make new aligners for you until your smile is fully corrected. If at any point you break or lose one of your aligners, just give us a call and we’ll set you up with a new one. That way, you won’t have to wait until your next checkup to continue your treatment. Depending on your dental health and how much work needs to be done, SmileCorrect includes about eight phases of treatment and can take anywhere from 12 – 24 months.
As mentioned above, you’ll have checkups once every few weeks to make sure everything is going smoothly and make any necessary changes. Taking good care of your teeth and aligners is vital to a successful SmileCorrect treatment. Stick to a strict dental care routine at home that includes daily brushing, flossing, and rinsing with mouthwash. Whenever you take out your aligners, make sure to clean or rinse them off before putting them back in. And to keep from misplacing them, put your aligners in their carrying case whenever you’re not using them.
Once your smile is fully straight, and your SmileCorrect treatment is complete, you may need to wear a retainer to keep your teeth from shifting again. Moving forward, schedule regular cleanings and exams at Dental Express so we can help maintain your progress and keep a close eye on your alignment and overall dental health.
Before your SmileCorrect treatment, we’ll sit down with you and discuss pricing based on the degree of treatment you need. If you have dental insurance, our team will reach out to your provider to assess your coverage and personal costs. If you don’t have insurance, we accept many different payment methods and provide low-interest medical financing to make your treatment more affordable. Whatever the cost, we’ll work together to find a solution that’s best for you and your budget.
